Circular Energy & Sustainable IT
Summary: Tranquil IT operates a 100% renewable infrastructure strategy across Bishop's Stortford and Stansted Mountfitchet. Our circular energy model repurposes datacenter waste heat to provide carbon-neutral heating for our offices, reducing total energy demand. Our vision is a distributed network of micro-datacenters supplying sustainable heating to local communities.

The Future: Distributed Compute
Traditional datacenters waste 98% of their energy as heat. Our vision is to reverse this. We are building a network of distributed micro-datacenters designed to heat water and supply ambient warmth to the buildings they inhabit.
Zero-Waste Compute
Server heat is captured at the source and piped directly into office or residential heating systems.
Local Resilience
Distributed nodes reduce latency and pressure on the national grid while providing local energy benefits.
Circular Mechanics
Thermal Recovery
Our Stansted HQ is primarily heated by the thermal output of our onsite infrastructure. By eliminating traditional HVAC waste, we turn a byproduct into a utility.
Victron ESS + Pylontech
Local energy storage using Pylontech US5000 batteries allows us to bridge gaps in renewable availability, ensuring 24/7 uptime without grid reliance.
MaaS Orchestration
Metal-as-a-Service allows us to power down idle hardware. Clients are only billed for compute time, synchronizing business cost with environmental impact.
