Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions about migrating your business numbers or telephony configurations? We have answers.

VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) is a modern digital technology that allows you to route phone calls over your internet connection instead of traditional PSTN copper telephone wires. By converting voice signals into digital packets, it ensures pristine fidelity, extreme cost savings, and flexible deployment across softphones, handsets, or mobile devices.

Basic VoIP accounts are strictly single-user setups. As such, they do not support advanced PBX features, including:
  • Additional distinct users / logins
  • Interactive Callflows
  • Auto-Attendant Key Menus (IVR)
  • Virtual Conference Rooms
  • Hunt Groups / Queues
  • Scheduled Opening Hours & Holiday routing rules

Yes! A single Basic VoIP user account can register multiple IP handsets, softphones, or ATA adapters concurrently. If a call is answered on one device, you can easily ring all your other registered devices by dialing the feature code 6683 (MUTE) to hand over and pick up the call elsewhere.

Upgrading from a single-user Basic Hosted account to a full, multi-seat Enterprise Hosted PBX account is fully supported and can be initialized instantly without configuration loss. However, please note that downgrading an existing multi-user Hosted PBX account back to a Basic Hosted VoIP account is prohibited.
